Chenny - Captain Nobeard!

Hospitality Brand style, the coolest and biggest ice cubes (sorry, ice spheres) in the world. Brand and Nicole have an amazing apartment and super cool rowing machine. It's wireless so you can race the guy down the hall.

Beautiful people. Here's a nice pic to go on their xmas card this year:

Mex and Rhek

Yass tells the funniest knock knock joke on the planet

Best nacho's in Van City

Sopho!

I was busting to head to the markets where I once picked up an amazing salmon roll (like a sausage roll but a million times better). I found them but this time it was microwaved. Hot on one end, cold on the other.

Seagulls here are gigantic

We couldn't be bothered trekking over the Granville bridge, so we took the 10 second boat ride. It was worth the 5 bucks

Awesome cars all over Van City

I'll try and get more pics up this arvo....

Awesome

Just grabbed a dirty blenz coffee to use their free wireless...can't upload photo's though! Please feel for me as I sip my way through the dirty, burnt, sad excuse for a coffee.

Thursday, March 20

Oh no photo

Sorry for the lack of updates, we're back in Vancity now and finding free internet hasn't been high on the list...now we're sitting in a cafe with freebie wireless, I'm having dramas uploading photos so maybe that will happen tomorrow, or this arvo if you're lucky. Don't really have time to check over the grammar either, so sorry for any typo's too.

Big White put on a gorgeous last day for us, blue skies fresh snow and fun times. But by the time Monday rolled around, I was more than ready to leave. Chenny kindly drove us back to Van and we stayed in a super hotel for the night. So good after cramped condo. The boys went out for St Pats day and we're back kinda early (everything shuts at 1am, so you need to be drunk by 10 to have a full night out).

We are now super, super lucky to be house sitting at Josh's dads place again, close to downtown so we've been shopping for the last couple of days, meeting the local crackies. One of which Mex bought a bike from last night. He paid $20 and the asking price was only $15 - generous, since it was a part of the crackie's house and it collapsed as he grabbed it to ride away. Pics later. My latest purchase were red Kool Aid Reeboks, loud AND scratch and sniff.

Van is pretty cold. 7 degrees on Tuesday but the sun was out so that means you can wear a tshirt and Parisian princesses can laugh at me when they see my thermals as I sit down. Generally the people here are pretty friendly, the chick sitting across from us just asked me to mind her laptop for a minute... lucky for her it was still here when she got back.

Better do more shopping, more updates real soon!

We love Sarah Silverman

Language warning, kids.

Almost time to head back to Vancouver! I have some serious cabin fever so it will be nice to get off the hill for a change of scenery.

A few days ago we headed down to Kelowna to watch the Rockets take on the Chilliwack Bruins... Heading down to Happy Valley (aka "the carpark")

Killer icicles

Big White Main St.

All aboard the gondola

Casson and Marty

These fellas hang around the village from time to time.

Waiting for the coach. I never knew a bus could go so fast down the mountain. On the first corner we took, we all let out a collective 'woah' and the driver yelled "What? You want seatbelts? I only got one! Hahahahahaha!"

Littlest puppy

We missed getting a good shot of this sign. Apparently it's "The sexual exploitation of children awareness week" Awareness week only just made it on to the sign in tiny print on the end.

Downtown K-town. Home of the Ogopogo - yep, they have a lake monster, everyone has either seen it, or knows somebody who has. This city is pretty wealthy, there are lots of orchards and vineyards around the valley. It's a huge summer town with temps up to 40 celcius, there's heaps of wakeboarding and water sports going on.

Prospera Place, home of the Rockets. Marty didn't have a ticket but we managed to get him on the bus anyway. After he bought one at the window, someone handed us 3 free tickets which he sold to a scalper. Lucky lucky.

The Ogopogo

Smart Chenny could see with my glasses

Mmm popcorn with real butter

Beer through a straw, "Not actually that bad"

Driest cheeseburger on planet earth

Rockets won. Anyone wanting their team to win, please invite us to a game - we're on a winning streak (though Chenny doesn't work for the 'Pies)

I collect foam hands and the Rockets claw was a winner

Last night we went tubing...woo! The spin you down a hilly track in a tyre tube, more fun than it sounds. Tube selection:
 T

Wooly destroyers, probably not the best choice for tubing

Anna

Romantic - fake log fire

Anna and Sopho have come up for 3 days from Vancity. They've slept through a gas leak in the condo (and survived), have been snowboarding like champs and decided that all of the girls on the hill are slurries and all of the Aussies are rude slackers. There's a serious lack of work ethic here.

Having a quick break this arvo and heading out for the last night boarding session.

Embarrassing

This place is crawling with embarrassing Aussies. A couple of days ago we ran into a bunch of rowdy, drunk morons that were vomiting from the lift, all before 10am.

Today I heard a girl say "The superpipe isn't just physically challening, it's mentally challenging as well."

Ooookaaaayyy.

US Cosmo

The bottom left title had us laughing in the supermarket aisle

Hungry?

We went to the candy store. It has just about everything, even chocolate covered crickets and ants which reminded me of Judy Blume's Blubber where they make her eat the chocolate covered ants and she pukes. These were favourites:

Yum!

Can't decide between sweet or salty? Why not try both

Sexy beer

This pup came to visit, but there was no brandy

Yass' car. Wood panelling!

Sweet interior

you have to lie down if you ride in the back

Chenny still has a beard
